I’ve been very fortunate in my career in many, many ways, one is the friends I’ve made amongst those I hold in the highest regard. Becoming friends with Joe McNally and Joel Satore has brought many rewards. I’ve always, always respected and feel very fortunate to be able to call the great photographer Jay Maisel friend and with whom I’ve had some very colorful conversations with to say the least.
Another photographer who I deeply admire and who I’ve had very meaningful conversations with is John Paul Caponigro. Our conversations aren’t about f/stop or printers (though I’ve learned all I know about printing and paper from JP), but rather life and the environment. JP being a very insightful and forward thinker has recorded and published many conversations he has had with the great visual communicators of our time.
